The Third Post

Yoyoyoyoyo, I hope all is well out there.
Some exciting VL news, the new Roomsound CD-Rs are done! As previously mentioned, it's called 'Rides Bikes'. 8 sometimes loopy, sometimes hazy, sometimes just too darn melodic tracks in 20 minutes, in hand made packaging! This is what it looks like. If you'd like a copy, you can get them here: $4 including shipping, or 3 bucks if you get them in person at a show or whatever (i.e. no shipping)
check out the mp3 link on the previous post.
Next up, the music is done for the first Drill Alaska CD-R and now we're figuring out packaging, we've got some blueprints and if everything goes well it should look pretty cool. Also, be expecting in the near future, 1776 'Til Infinity by freedommongers/noisemongers Ol' Glory and a release (probably a CD-R) by improv experimetalizers The Skiers.
Hope everyone is being happy and getting their fair share of radtastic summer lovin'

Gertie Fox Tour + Upcoming Release

Hello there,
Vanity Label friends Gertie Fox are on tour! Gertie Fox is a 4 person band from North Hollywood, in the angelic city of Los Angeles. They play warm but melancholy southern indie rock. You'll enjoy them. Check this out for the tour dates, as well as a sneak preview of their new album.

In VL news, the longest Roomsound album ever (8 whole tracks) is almost ready to be released. It features cool packaging, original art, and of course, nice music. Guitar, chord organ, melodica, glockenspiel, dulcimer, piano, and mandolin abound. The album is called "Rides Bikes", and it will be available very soon. And I have a little sneak preview for you!

The Second Post

Hello, I thought I would let everyone know that Vanity Label co-person Matty Jeronimo is going to have a booth at the rad(?) Wilsonville Art Fest this weekend! It is happening all day this Saturday and Sunday at that one park with the Korean War Memorial and on Town Center Loop in Wilsonville. He'll have various pieces of art he made for sale, as well as a couple copies of limited edition cdrs compiling the first two Roomsound EPs . They are housed in recycled and revised 12" vinyl sleeves. Each is unique and never to exist again and available at rock bottom prices. Also available elsewhere at the festival, lots of paintings of flowers and pictures of waterfalls. So go say "Hi" to Matty, buy some art and enjoy a nice day out.

The First Post

Hello, this is the first post to the brand new Vanity Label site. There is literally nothing worth reporting right now except that we are super exxxcited to get done with school and start recording lots of music and making lots of art to package our music in.

Things that loom in the future are:
-a physical release of two Roomsound EPs that have been floating around in the digi-sphere
-"No Delay" cdr, the inaugural release by electric brain apocalypse duo Drill Alaska

-a cdr by Telephone Operators, looping ambient musix
-official release of a live bootleg and the "lost" studio recordings by R*B*T*X*

Things that probably loom in the future are:
-new releases by Roomsound and Drill Alaska, as well as, new musical projects by the names of The Skiers, Indian Givers and Loose Limbs
-USA or Die/Chaos Theory split cdr
-a few releases (including a special one for the 4th of July) by Ol' Glory the most insanely patriotic free rock junk thrash unit you are likely to encounter

Things that potentially loom in the future are:
-a cdr collecting all existing recordings of the shortlived 503 Killaz hip hop clan
-a release by Merchants of Doom; Wilsonville ORs first nordic black metal band
-a release by Roberto Caedmon; local troubadour
-Roomsound collabos with the last two groups mentioned under the names Doomsound and Robertosound, respectively.
-a double cassette release entitled Black Metal, White America. a four way split between Merchants of Doom, The Skiers, Ol' Glory and Team USA (a collabo featuring members of the other three groups)
-a release by Kobe Bryant Town; frenetic, caterwauling scuzz rock (members of Roomsound and Drill Alaska)

(I am assuming that if you are reading this you know me personally and there is an ever so slight chance one of those names mentioned above might mean something to you...)

Also lots of fun, free shows at the Wilsonville OR's greatest place The Loft!! full of friends and free music for yr earz + mindplacez

Take care and listen to lots and lots of music,
-Drew
